Hold on to my belt hun,I'm fasssst

With a lot of friends asking me for my exact weight loss routine right down to how many times I go to the bathroom an hour, I have decided to pen it down. I realise it isn’t the only way to lose weight and I’d truly appreciate not being argued with, especially by those still struggling with their  weight. This is for those who want it.
I’m talking from my experience which I am certain we will all agree produced drastic and extremely fast results.  Whoop-whooop!

In the past, I spent a lot of money ordering weight loss mixtures and poking injections into myself to lose weight. I had a trainer, a gym membership at Virgin Classic, incentives all round and a support structure nogal. All these endeavours never worked for me. I think cos I didn’t really honour them. I sort of didn't seem to care.
Everytime someone told me ‘it’s all in the mind’ I felt like kicking them in the mouth cos damn, I KNOW I wanna lose weight. I have now realised that that response was the most honest one I was to ever get from anywhere.

One has to WANT to lose weight. Realise that every muffin you secretly pop into your mouth goes against goals YOU set. If you wanna lose weight, stop eating more than you need, exercise and drink water. Those are the basics. It’s about you and should never be a show for people for a few weeks.
I have come to quickly recognise patterns similar to those I mastered over the past few years. The determination that comes with the month of January is amazing to say the least. The check-ins at gyms, the statuses about jogs and hectic workouts the crash diets being passed around. Of course there are regular gym fanatics that also update us with similar statuses. for those, its a regular checkin like a checkin at (tries to remember fav checkin posts...) OR Tambo...y'know
It’s the newbies I fear for.
There is so much pressure on self and hunger and irritation as it is while starting this journey. I felt announcing to the world everytime I grabbed a celery stick wouldn't be the best motivation(trick) to overcoming the weight. I did my thang quietly and only started making a noise when I started seeing results.

When I started off at around 97kg, I was taking Duromine 30mg. I didn’t have any of the side effects usually experienced by Duromine users. To me, the pill gave a lot of energy which I used up daily so I had none left when I went to bed.
This was my routine:

  • Large glass of lukewarm water with a slice of lemon 1st thing in the morning. Followed by half a grapefruit (bambahosi).
  • 45minute session at Curves.
I picked Curves because of their specialised facilities.I know people learn how to ‘cheat the machines’ at regular gym. What a waste of self time.                                     Its only myself I’d be cheating. Curves is ladies only, they have a very precise system that shows you how hard you are working as you exercise and then after you are done you get a breakdown of what muscles you worked best and which you should target more on the next time. It isn’t thaaat expensive…well…as compared to Virgin Classic. I also wasn’t gonna parade my pot belly at a mixed gym…I care about young boys who go there innocently to lift weights. Some sights could blind them or make them hate women…y’know.

  • Breakfast was usually rye bread with chicken/ham,lettuce,tomato…or a fruit salad.
  • More water
  • Lunch was usually a piece of chicken and a green salad.
  • More water/Coke zero. (The zero cooldrinks really have 0 calories..+-)
Get home.

  • Do 20minute cardio. Jumping jacks or squats..such things. You can google routines online.
  • Skip for 20minutes (or to 3000)
  • Dinner would be fish or chicken…or vegetables. I had a very small dinner. Still do.

By the time I was done with all these, Duromine was also tired and I was ready to sleep like a baby and do it all over the next day
I took Duromine on alternating days during the week only.
When my 30 Duromines ran out, I was already in this weight loss groove but didn’t wanna depend on the tablet. I continued with my routine along with Huli, who didn’t join me on the Duromine in the first place. I found that I got very tired as I was doing a lot of physical activities. A friend suggested I use USN products. I bought the USN pack and got back into my regular pace.
She suggested USN as it has helped her build muscle. Building muscle is very important. No, fat girl, you will not look like Serena Williams (shooo, you wish LMAO). Trust me, everyone needs muscle, especially one who wants to lose weight.

My current routine is:

  • Large glass of lukewarm water with a slice of lemon 1st thing in the morning. Followed by half a grapefruit (bambahosi).
  • 3 USN Lipo XT tablets
  • 15 minute jog.
Jogging for longer than your unfit body can take is useless. You will end up walking most of the way anyway, and you may start hating the jogging cos it’s so painful. So I only jog for 15 minutes. I alternate between sprints and slow jogs to keep my heart rate accelerating and decreasing, taking in lots of oxygen which is good for something. I did a lot of reading online prior to picking a specific routine. I also asked anyone who would know something about healthier options and ideas to do more exercise;best ways to maximise your workout. You’re so lucky I just packaged it here for you.

  • Oats for breakfast. Its low gi and isn’t carbs.
  • 2 USN CLA tablets
  • 45minute session at Curves.
  • Breakfast is just a fruit salad.
  • More water
  • At 10ish I’ll have a green salad or summin
  • At 12:00 I’ll drink 1 sachet of USN Hardcore
  • Lunch is some protein and veges. I hate carbs.
  • More water/Coke zero.
  • 2 more CLA tablets
  • Even more water
  • At 3ish I’ll have a serving of USN Diet Fuel in preparation for my evening activities. Or just to make me not so hungry if I’m gonna go out later.
  • 15 minute jog
  • 20minute cardio
  • Dinner is still very light.

It takes very long to lose weight. I have yet to reach my goals. My goals were in centimetres and not kilograms. I was told it would take me about 2 years to achieve my goal. I decided to work extra hard cos I was scared it just wouldn’t work or I’d give up. One can attribute my weightloss to the USN products I am throwing money at. I could too...if I was still in bed everyday that I wake up at 5:00 to jog seven days a week and go to gym 5 days a week just to get back to more jogging later.
I guess it all depends on how much you want it as compared to sundowners in your tent and muffin top. This is only for those that have issues with their muffin tops. I think other people are perfectly content with their bodies and I hope I have not insulted them by saying this. It’s meant for those who do not like it. I also cut down my alcohol to about 2 cocktails every 7 days or summin silly like that. Alcohol is fattening my friends.

I think I'll be using this same routine for the next two months still gradually getting off the USN.
*I have not-healthy-sized friends who insist they wouldn't use any products for health reasons and all...doing such a routine even without the magic pills is BOUND to work...I think...but then again...I don't think regular at the best of times, don't listen to me too much. I can stress you for DAYZ, I stress ME*

As you can see, I am not losing as rapidly as I was in the beginning. Cos…well, I’m out too much now showing off my dresses and drinking cocktails and not sticking to my routine. And apparently it does slow down at some point...I don't read too much on my weightloss either it seems. I'm losing focus. At least I still lost over the holidays.
The stomach is a very understanding body organ shem. It doesn’t mind anything. Cabbage, carrot, cake, pastaaaa...its allll the same to dear old stomach. Drink water before eating to feel fuller. Learn to snack on carrots and celery. Defocus on people’s praises of you and how well you are doing, they lie. If you still wear the same clothes, you are still obese and should only concentrate on getting down than praise from skinny people.
Do you know this song?
"My stomach, has no Sunday, has no holiday it wants to eaaaat."
Its by a very good Venda atrist called...Irene Mawela...so true, the stomach is not so fussy y'know. It must just eat...

PS. About crash diets:. Huli and I did the Beyonce Maple syrup diet and lost a lot of weight in 2 weeks. Alas, we gained it all back after this. What happens with crash diets is that you lose muscle. You need muscle to burn fat. So you end up with less muscle and still the same body fat. When you start eating again, you will not have much muscle to do the work to burn food. So you usually end up gaining a lot of weight.

PPS. It shouldn't be about kilos when you have so much physical exercise. You weight more when you have more muscles so the scale may scare you. Get a tape measuring thingy and use that to measure yourself.

It’s a pleasure guys!
